Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Health Professional Honor Society

A pre-health honor society with the purpose of connecting future health professionals and recognizing their achievements in their pursuit of a career in health. Activities include volunteering, educational programs and speakers at bi-weekly meetings including doctors, nurses, patients, medical students, pharmaceutical students, and more.

UCSD AMSA pre-medical chapter is dedicated to providing valuable resources for pre-medical students here at UCSD, as well as presenting opportunities for involvement in the health-care community. This year, our chapter will also be partnering up with the UCSD Medical School chapter to provide mentoring and joint community activites for our pre-medical students. It will be a wonderful opportunity for students to learn what medical school is like and to make valuable connections with students who have already been through the rigorous admissions processes required for medical school.

The primary purpose of the Student Society for Medical Ethics is to serve as a forum for members of the UCSD community to discuss current and historical issues in biomedical ethics. SSME will provide students, faculty and staff with an opportunity to present clinical case studies and engage their peers in fruitful discourse. We will work to educate our members on the intersections of science, medicine, philosophy and ethics. The organization is entirely not-for-profit.
